Free Mediform Keyring for motorcyclists in Lancashire that could save your life - SYB Magazine - SYB Magazine
Amazing Lifesaving Mediform Tube Keyring - Lancashire - UK
26th November 2012
Photo: Karen Delaney, Rhiannon Leeds (RideSafe BackSafe), with John Bentley and Alex Tatman (North West Ambulance Service).
Pick up a FREE Life saving keyring Motorcyclist's urged!
The 'Mediform Tube' is a great idea based on the C.R.A.S.H. Card © concept created by the Ambulance Motorcycle Club with funding from Lancashire County Council and support from North West Air Ambulance Charity, North West Ambulance Service, and other partners including Lancashire Constabulary and Merseyside Police; the Mediform Tube is now available in the North West totally Free to motorcyclists.
The tube is a great little device, because it is totally water and air tight so you can put in it vital personal information about medication, medical history, or allergies that you may suffer from etc. also you can put in details of loved ones who may need contacting if required.
You may ask yourself how will the paramedics know if I have a Mediform Keyring on me? Well that's the good thing you see, each Mediform tube pack contains a medical details letter and also self adhesive green key stickers; which you simply apply to the right hand side of your helmet visor which will notify the medical team you are in possession of a Mediform Tube.
This will help the paramedic crew access your medical details in case you are unresponsive or unable to respond to questions at the scene; the mediform tube is designed to be attached your motorcycle keyring.
Ian Walmsley, NWAS Sector Manager of East Lancashire, states: “When attending RTCs on the roads, in compromising situations, assuring the safety of the patient is paramount".
“In addition to
assessing their immediate injuries, if a clinician has access
to the patient’s history, it means that the safest treatment for
the individual can be provided, and could help to immeasurably
improve their recovery".
RideSafe BackSafe have been working alongside Lancashire County Council to try and encourage motorcyclists to use the newly developed lifesaving tube, the RideSafe BackSafe team regularly attend motorcycle meets throughout the North West to distribute the tubes to motorcyclists.

The idea for this build was to create a raw, blacked out scrambler inspired bike. As much black parts as possible with a few highlights of polished metal. I also wanted to reuse the “airy” look in the middle from Rewheeled #1 and keep it as clean as possible regarding wiring and controls... FULL STORY >>>
